Apparently, the new Wordpress 2.7 will be released to the masses (edit: wordpress.com only, Full Version of WordPress 2.7 Due December 10). For anyone who hasn’t looked into the changes coming up, this is a crazy new and improved back-end bonanza. The interfce for site administration has been given a massive overhaul, as well as a few other under-the-hood changes thrown in.
I have been tracking/using the new 2.7 since September, and I have been both delighted and nervous as things have progressed. The only real criticisms I have is the issue I blah-gged about yesterday, that of the misplaced usage of serif fonts in the menu bar section titles, and the not-so-appealing-to-me icon set that was voted in by the community (my choice was LS, I liked it better!! >:|).
Wooop dee dooo. Obviously I had to look for something to complain about. Meanwhile, if you are still using 2.6, or god forbid anything before that (I’m looking at YOU man), then you really should take a look. What a joy to use.
