Apparently we have to upgrade. But where is my AutomaticUpgrade!! ahhh there we go…
It’s spoiled me of late, sitting back and clicking a few times to upgrade my WP install. Yes, I save the backups, the mysql dumps and files, when recommended to me. I test to make sure the Maintenance Screen is indeed what my visitors would temporarily see. And of course, the plug-in deactivate-activate cycle which encapsulate the simple download and install of the new upgrade waiting patiently on the official servers.
Finally, with a satisfied last mouse-click, plug-ins exactly how I’d left them (98% of the time), maybe a minute has elapsed. A minute and a half perhaps.
So, like, here is 2.6.2 and i see no alert box! from either WP saying I need to upgrade, or AutomaticUpgrade is eagerly alerting me as to its dying to do it for me…
