More on Alexa and SEO

I said it would happen

I said it would happen

So you may remember earlier this summer I wrote a post about Alexa Web ranking, and how it seems WordPress is perfect for SEO. In that post I mention “If I can make it to rank# 2.5 million by year end I‚Äôll be tickled purple.”

Well, look at where I am today: 1,000,497 baby!

Yes that says 1,000,497… EDIT: I am now at #909,921

I have a new goal… I vow to reach rank # 500,000 (or lower) by year end. If you would like to help me, you could do so by:

  1. commenting in my blog with a link back to your own site
  2. link to my site from your own blogroll (and I will link back, promise!) and
  3. google search my name (eswhy, sean yeomans) a couple of times.

As it stands, my site has leaped 4 Million Rank Positions in JUST OVER A MONTH!!!

neat stuff.

addendum:
I credit the practise of participation and involvement around the web. Other blogs, community forums, etc. You need to leave your mark where it can be seen, and that means engaging in commenting and conversation on locations on the web. I also credit using the ENTRECARD service, which I have to admit I haven’t really used diligently, but I do try to use it daily.

  1. about 4 months ago I had 3 sites at the 10 million level, not anymore. 1 is at 288k, the second 240k and the third at 168k.

    I searched your name, twice.

  2. you are a gentleman, sir :) thank you!

did you do anything deliberate to get your ranking so high? or is that just basic site traffic?
